PUPPIES AVAILABLE!
Updated: 11.25.2024
Welcome to Shiba Inu paradise! We own the most amazing Shiba Inu dogs! It took us a long time finding the right dogs that have good genes, temperaments, health, and champion bloodlines. Our dogs are AKC registered and the puppies will receive limited registration. If you are interested in owning a puppy with unlimited registration, please contact us for the price and details.
We raise our dogs in our home and our yard. They have plenty of space to get out and run around and feel free. We do not use kennels for our dogs or puppies (only if an individual asks to start kennel training for their puppy). We believe our dogs should have the freedom to feel like they are in a family, rather than on their own.
There are a few things that makes us different from other breeders:
First, we let the puppies be with the mother at least 8 weeks of age. The puppies need the mothers milk to be as healthy as possible and they need care that only the mother can provide them. After they are 8 weeks, the mother usually weans the puppies off and just plays with them. This is the time where the puppies are re-homed and instead of bonding further with their mother, they start getting used to their new family. These are the best bonds that can form.
Secondly, we start training our puppies when they are around 6 weeks of age. This helps an easier transition when they come to a new home and the puppy will be more obedient when the training continues in their new home.
Third, is that our puppies and dogs live in our home. When you bring your new puppy home, the last thing you want is a puppy that's from a breeder that keeps them outside. If the puppy has been exposed to outside living for the first two months of its life, it will be really difficult to train them to be inside the house. The whimpering will go on all night, the bathroom training will be that much harder and they will think that outside play is the same as indoor play. We train the puppies to be in the house because we know our clients are accepting a new member into their family. This little difference makes a world of difference.
Lastly, we do not have a mass production of Shiba Inus. This leaves us enough availability to give our dogs and puppies the attention and care they need so they can be well socialized and friendly to adults, children, and other pets.
OUR PROCESS:
BEING ON THE WAITLIST:
1. Email me with a detailed description about yourself, your household, and your plan of care for the puppy. We want to make sure the puppy will be going into the proper home and will be well taken care of before placing you into the waiting list.
2. The main function of reserving your place on the waiting list will consist of reviewing, signing and sending back the deposit contract form along with the $500 deposit through Zelle. I found this to be one of the easiest and quickest ways to do electronic payments. If you are uncomfortable using Zelle, please let me know and we can work around different options. Please include important features to you such as gender and color if those are features you are looking for in specific. Zelle will only be used for the deposit. The remaining amount will be due in cash on pickup. The deposit you place goes towards the full amount.
3. Once the deposit is made, I will notify you of the status of your waitlist. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.
PICKING UP YOUR PUPPY:
4. On the day of pickup, we will sign an AKC registration form and purchase contract. Proof of shots and a certified vet exam will be given. Between six months to a year of the puppies age (advise with your Vet) we do require proof of spay/neuter in order for you to receive the AKC papers.
5. The puppies are ready to be picked up at 8 weeks of age. We can hold the puppy up to 9 weeks. After 9 weeks, there will be an additional charge of $45 per day for puppy boarding, training, feeding, etc. Unless otherwise agreed between us.
6. We only accept cash as a form of payment due to the rise of fraud artists. Pet price for a puppy is $4,000.
7. Congratulations! The puppy is now all yours and on a path to a bright future! We would love photos and updates on your puppy as they grow!
TRANSPORTATION:
We offer several types of transportation to make it easier for you and your new puppy to go home with you. We do not allow our puppies to be shipped through cargo, as this can cause anxiety, separation issues, and potential death.
1. Hawaii Transportation
- Hawaii has a long process to have your puppy shipped to you. This typically takes 4-6 months to have all the required tests and documents prepared for the approval of the Department of Agriculture of Hawaii. We will work with you through the process and offer boarding while all the paperwork is being taken care of.
2. Ground Transportation
- If you are unable to drive in or have any means of traveling to us, we offer ground transportation to drop off your puppy at your city. Price varies on location.
3. Flight Nanny
- We offer Flight Nanny service through a third party if you would be interested in having the puppy dropped off at your nearest Airport. Your puppy is kept in cabin with a flight nanny and is kept comfortable the entire plane trip. Price varies.
4. PDX Airport Meet
- Our most common method is meeting the buyer at the airport. You will fly into PDX and we will meet you there with your puppy. There is no cost for this and you will be able to take a flight back the same day to avoid any additional fees for hotels and car transport.
We are located in Tualatin, Oregon. Nearest cities are Portland, Tigard, Beaverton, Sherwood, Oregon City, Canby, Woodburn, Salem.
Also a short drive from Seattle Washington with neighboring cities such as Tacoma, Kent, Federal Way, Renton, Redmond, Everett.
